Michael G. Ireland holds a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School, a joint United Church of Christ (Congregational) and American Baptist seminary. He has pastored churches in New Hampshire, Kansas, and New York. He was ordained as an American Baptist in 1960, and in 1969 he was granted ministerial standing in the United Church of Christ as well. From 1980 to 2004, he served as adjunct Minister of Marriage at Community Congregational Church, Tiburon, California. He and his wife, Karen, now live in Groveland, California.
